After my first yoga encounter with Tricia Fiske at a health club, I was hooked. In the beginning, there wasn’t a lot of studios but I found Yoga Among Friends and then practiced with Laura Jane Mellencamp. Darien Friesen from Moksha Yoga came to Yoga Among Friends and did a 200 hour training, one of the first in the western suburbs. I signed up wanting to deepen my personal practice. But as the journey unfolded, I became a teacher at Yoga Among Friends.

I have taken trainings with Gabriel Halpern, Tias Little, Erich Schiffman, & Judith Lassiter to name a few. Their unique style has helped me create my own style and my practice continues to evolve.

opened The Yoga Place with a partner in Glen Ellyn and there I developed a strong practice and became entrenched with the yoga lifestyle.

I discovered Ayurveda and did my training with Pat Layton from Bhavana Institute and became a panchakarma technician, getting my training from Diva Ayurveda in Milwaukee.

Ayurveda has become my lifestyle and I love sharing this ancient knowledge which is the largest medical system in the world, being around for thousands of years. I have completed my Ayurveda Doula Training from Ayurveda Sadhana in Colorado. I’m continuing my training becoming a Yoga Therapist with JJ Gormley.

I opened The Yoga & Ayurveda Center in Lombard and love the practice as much as ever. I’m ever thankful for all my teachers, students & family for where I am today.
